The Polygon (MATIC) altcoin network and Warner Music Group (WMG) have teamed up with e-commerce platform LGND.io to launch a perennial web3 music program that will allow users to play digital records over the internet. The platform, called LGND Music, will support digital collections from all blockchains, although its main partner is Polygon.
According to the company statement, this partnership includes a collaboration with Dutch electronic music record label Spinnin’ Records. Following its launch in January, the platform will sell its own digital collections, which will give customers access to exclusive content and experiences from their favorite artists.
“We’ve been working for over a year to bring a best-in-class blockchain experience to passionate music lovers around the world, and we look forward to innovative and unique content from WMG artists of all kinds,” said Michael Rockwell, CEO of LGND Music.
