Elections in Ukraine can be carried out by means of the blockchain technology. Earlier, this method was successfully implemented in one of the regions in the United Kingdom, reports LigaBusinessInform.

Blockchain company Bitfury can provide a technical solution for implementation of such model of voting in Ukraine. The news appeared during the panel meeting “Ukrainian Blockchain Day”, where the chief marketing manager of the company George Givishvili stated:

The system is ready. We will need around two-three weeks for implementation.

Bitfury Group is a blockchain company with offices in the USA and other countries, the global provider of full stack blockchain-based services. Its CEO – Valeriy Vavilov – is one of the co-founders of the file sharing service ex.ua.

It is to be recalled that the Ukrainian government and Bitfury have signed an agreement about the development of the joined blockchain project. Then, Valeriy Vavilov said:

A reliable governmental system, built on the blockchain, will be able to assure the growth of assets to billions of dollars and create a significant social and economic effect in the global perspective by solving the problem of transparency and accountability.

Besides this, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, together with the State Agency for Electronic Governance and Transparency International Ukraine presented the renewed State Land Cadastre, which will work on the blockchain. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Ministry:

Implementation of this technology will assure reliable data synchronization and prevent the substitution of data from outside, as well as create a possibility to fulfill a public control over the system.

First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Maksym Martynyuk stated that “the transferring of the land cadastre to the blockchain is the next element of the transformation of land relations, which is systematically implemented by the government. A month ago, a regulatory monitoring of land relations was introduced, and soon the auctions for state land leasing will be also carried out online on the blockchain.
